MiKayla Wesche, CSW (she/her)
Therapist
MiKayla received her Bachelors of Social Work from Weber State University and her Masters of Social Work from the University of Utah. She spent 5 years at Primary Children’s Hospital, four of which were specialized in working with suicidal ideation and eating disorders. As a result, she has spent significant time working with teens and families. Simultaneously, she became very comfortable with the medical field and the stressors that occur from working in such a demanding environment.
MiKayla is motivated by Stephen Covey’s idea that “I am not a product of my circumstances, I am a product of my decisions.” While we all deal with difficult life circumstances, we all have the power to make decisions in our lives. MiKayla strives to empower you to make the necessary changes to face the things in your life that are causing you grief and heartache. She believes strongly that therapy can be one of the best decisions you can make in this process.
In her free time, MiKayla can likely be found with a Diet Dr. Pepper (don’t forget the lime!) in hand and talking true crime, the latest book she read, or spending time with her husband and baby.
