Madi Besselievre, LCSW (She/her)
Therapist
My theoretical orientation is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. I specialize in working with adults—primarily women—who have experienced acute or complex trauma and are seeking deep, lasting transformation.
IFS guides my understanding that symptoms like eating disorders, anxiety, depression, or relational conflict are not pathologies, but protective parts trying their best to help. I work collaboratively with clients to build a compassionate relationship with these parts, accessing the Self—the core of calm, clarity, and confidence within each person. EMDR complements this work by helping clients process traumatic memories that remain stuck in the nervous system.
I believe healing occurs when we turn inward with curiosity and compassion, rather than judgment. Richard Schwartz says, “All parts are welcome.” I resonate deeply with this belief, and I help clients create the internal safety and connection needed for meaningful, lasting change.
I work best with individuals who are ready to engage—not just to vent, but to truly understand themselves, heal at the root, and grow into a more authentic and empowered version of themselves.
